FAQs
24 Hour Tennis Marathon – FAQs
When is it?
Saturday 20th – Sunday 21st February 2027
From 12 noon on Saturday to 12 noon on Sunday (a continuous 24 hour tennis event)
Event Format & Participation
What’s the format of the event?
Professional and former professional tennis players will take part throughout the full 24 hours.
To keep the action going, a different pair of schools or tennis groups will join every 4 hours to play against them, ensuring continuous play across the entire duration.
How is the 24 hours structured?
The event is divided into 6 x 4-hour time slots:
- Saturday: 12pm–4pm | 4pm–8pm | 8pm–Midnight
- Sunday: Midnight–4am | 4am–8am | 8am–12pm
Each 4-hour block will feature two participating teams.
Can we choose our time slot?
Yes, you can request a preferred time slot when securing your team’s place. However, please note that these requests are not guaranteed. Final time slot allocations will be confirmed in January 2027
Do we need to be a certain level to take part?
Not at all! Players of all abilities are welcome – from absolute beginners to future pros. We believe in inclusive tennis for everyone, regardless of skill level.
What age range is allowed to participate?
There’s no upper age limit.
All players under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (teacher, coach, parent, or guardian) throughout the event.
Fundraising Information
What are we fundraising for?
Funds raised will go towards our I Play 30 programme – providing weekly inclusive tennis sessions to SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) schools.
Each session supports 12+ students who may never have had the opportunity to experience tennis before.
Is there a fee to take part?
There’s no entry or registration fee. However, each team is asked to meet a fundraising target.
What is the fundraising target per team?
Each team is encouraged to raise £5,000.
With 8 players, that’s a little over £600 per player. Teachers and coaches are welcome to help fundraise too!
Do we need to raise the full amount before the event?
To ensure fairness and planning for all teams, we ask that each team raises a minimum of £2,000 by 6 weeks before the event (around early January 2027).
What if we’re struggling to meet the target?
Please reach out to us – we’re here to support you. We want everyone to be able to take part and will work with you to find a solution.
When does fundraising close?
Fundraising pages will remain open after the event.
As a thank you, we’ll be awarding prizes to:
- The top 3 individual fundraisers
- The highest fundraising team
To be eligible for prizes, fundraising totals must be submitted by 6pm on Friday 19th March 2027
